Danish women’s double ready for semifinals

10/18/2013 6:00 PM |  XXBadmintonDenmark.com - Gamle |  Kristine Liv Lund Pedersen

Christinna Pedersen/Kamilla Rytter Juhl are seeded as number two and today they showed why. After a difficult first game against another Danish couple, Marie Røpke/Line Kruse, the world’s number three showed big strength in the second and won the match 22-20/21-10.

It is always difficult to face someone from your own country because you know them and how they play so well. It might be the reason that the first game was so close.

“This will always be a difficult game for us. We are favorites and they have everything to win. At the same time they are not under the same pressure as we are. We handled our nerves better in the second game and things just worked a bit better,” Christinna Pedersen says.

Tomorrow they will face either the Koreans Jang Ye Na/Kim So Young or the Japanese Reika Kakiiwa/Miyuki Maeda, but it doesn’t really matter who it will be Christinna Pedersen says.

“We are ready and I’m looking so much forward to that match”
