Badminton Denmark would like to invite you to our press conference on the opening day of Yonex Denmark Open, Tuesday the 15th at twelve a clock. Here you will have the opportunity to meet some of the biggest players from the tournament.
It’s a big pleasure for us to welcome the best badminton players in the world, when Yonex Denmark Open begins next week. There will be both Olympic- and world champions at this prestigious Premier Super Series in Denmark. Therefor it is also a rehearsal for the World Championships, which is to be held in Denmark next summer. Most of the players, who are expected to be competing about becoming world Champion, are also coming to Yonex Denmark Open next week.
“It’s the result of Denmark’s position as one of the best badminton nations in the world combined with a very good cooperation between Sport Event Denmark, Odense Municipality, Developing Fyn Municipal Ltd and Badminton Denmark. The Danish players do have a very high level and many of them are ranked in the top of the BWF’s world ranking list. It’s very good for them, to get the chance to play against other world class players, in their home country. We will manage to show you world class badminton in Odense, which attracts both spectators and sponsors,” says Charlotte Malmroes, who is director at the Badminton Denmark.
At the press conference you will have the opportunity to meet the men’s double from Denmark Mathias Boe, who won a silver medal at the Olympics last year, and the World Championship silvermedalist in Women’s Double and bronze medalist in Mixed Double Christinna Pedersen
