The Danes pressed Lee Chong Wei in the first set and would have liked to play a third set

Jan Ø. Jørgensen lost after a good fight to Lee Chong Wei in Yonex Denmark Open. After 45 minutes the Dane was defeated 20-22, 15-21.
He got a good start. He led 7-4 before Le Chong Wei started scoring and got in front 11-10 at the break. The two players kept scoring only one or two point in a row and both players could have won the set. But it was Olympic silver medalist Lee Chong Wei, who did it 22-20 after two set point.

- I am very satisfied with my first set. I could see he was breathing heavily. So I would really have liked to play a third set, says the Danish National Champion.

Jan Ø.: I believe I can beat him
In the second set The Dane did not play at his best. He kept on trying and did put up a fight. But Lee Chong Wei played well and won the set 21-15.

- He is a great offensive player and you have to be well prepared to beat him. But I still believe I can do it. I have done it once, Jan Ø. Jørgensen tells.

Amazing crowd
Jan Ø. Jørgensen enjoys playing in front of an audience and he uses the cheering positive. On Saturday the arena in Odense was packed and everybody supported the Dane.

- It is an amazing crowd and there is a good atmosphere. I can feel the support and I appreciate it, says the Dane, who won Yonex Denmark Open in 2010.

Lee Chong Wei is now ready for the final Sunday. He will be up against Chinese Du Pengyu, who beat Chen Long - last year’s winner – in two sets.
