The audience were more than ready to watch the match between Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen and Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov.
Everybodys eyes were staring at the court. Shouting, clapping an cheering. The crowd i Odense were exited.
Control is the perfect word to use as Boe/Mogensen won the first set 21-14. It was clear that they played fabulously and that the Russians had problems making a comeback.
- We played very precisely and that is the reason why they loose the control, says Mathias Boe.
The control continued when they had an 11-2 lead in the second set. Ivanov/Sozonov seemeed to have lost the desire to play.
- They almost didn’t want to play the second set and they have done that before. But that was very nice for us, says Mathias Boe.
Boe/Mogensen were aggresive all the way through the match and left the Russians with no chance for coming back. The Dansih couple won the second set 21-5 and the match ended just 33 minutes after the first rally.
- It was an easy win, says Mathias Boe concludes.
Boe/Mogensen will face V Shem Goh and Wee Kiong Tan in the semifinale.
