The best badminton players of the world are present, all hoping to win the Superseries-tournament starting Tuesday, October 18. First day of the tournament has several interesting games waiting for the audience already.
Tomorrow morning at 9 AM, the first shots of this years Yonex Denmark Open presented by Danisa will be fired. A year of waiting is over, and we’re very much looking forward to what will hopefully be an exciting tournament.
More than 200 million spectators are expected this year, the hype being as big as ever. It is still possible to get tickets to the matches in Odense, if one wants to meet the stars. The tournament stretches from tomorrow until Sunday, where the finals will be held.

Notable qualification match
Furthermore, Danish Anders Antonsen will battle Irish Scott Evans at 12:30 PM, both hoping to qualify for the real tournament. Antonsen is seeded fourth, but Evans reached the last 18 in this summers Olympics and should not be underrated. In the Olympics Evans was knocked out by Danish favourite Viktor Axelsen.
Notable mixed doubles matches
But tomorrow is not only about qualifying for the tournament. The main tournament of Yonex Denmark Open presented by Danisa is set off on Tuesday night as well, where the mixed doubles begin.
Danish pair Joachim Fischer Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen, ranked 7th in the world, are seeded in their match against Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Reddy Nelakurihi Sikki, the Indonesians being ranked 38th. This match will begin at 7:00 PM.
Indonesian stars Liliyana Natsiar and Tontowi Ahmad, recent Olympic gold medallists, serves off their campaign against Chinese pair Huang Kaixiang and Li Yinhui at 8:30 PM. The Indonesians are ranked fourth in the world, and are big favourites against the 240th ranked Chinese’s.
All in all, there is no doubt that tomorrow offers the audience first possibility to get closer to the stars of Yonex Denmark Open presented by Danisa.
