Thomas Laybourn and Kamilla Rytter Juhl lost their semi final, and the Thai Saralee and Sudket are facing Christinna Pedersen and Joachim Fischer in the finale
The second mixed doubles semi final was a showdown where Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Thomas Laybourn was up against Sudket/Saralee from Thailand, and from the start the two Danes showed that they were going for a repeat for the victory from 2009.
After a slow start, the Danes started the engines. 7-14 and 10-17 becomes 20-20, but a smash into the net from Thomas Laybourn gave the first game to the Thais. 23-21 for Sudket and Saralee in the first game.

In the second game The Danes had momentum from the beginning, and Laybourn and Juhl was ahead 11-8. I the second game there was no doubt. Laybourn and Juhl took it the game 21-17.
It was Laybourn and Juhl, who really pulled in the third game. The Danes went ahead 5-1 and 8-2, and there was no doubt about who was closest to the finals. But after the interval the Thais got contact. 14-13 for the Danes.
After 69 minutes of well played badminton with Danish support Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Thomas Laybourn had leave the court without victory. Sudket and Saralee played themselves into the final at the Yonex Copenhagen Masters 2011 with a semi final victory 23-21 17-21 21-19. The Thais will play Christinna Pedersen and Joachim Fischer in the final.
- It's was a close match, and it’s a shame, that we didn’t close it in the end, because we had the chances. We are struggling the whole game today, but we fight well. We have the audience behind us, and therefore we proceed, but it just was not enough today, Kamilla Rytter Juhl says.
