Tine Baun had a tough match today against Inthanon Ratchanok who is only 16 years old. Despite of her age Inthanon Ratchanok has already shown that she can play against the best and is also 2 times Junior World Champion. With Baun being seeded 8 and her experience in mind she was however the favourite and it was an unexpected exit for Baun when the match ended 21-16/21-15 in favor of the thai comet.
-I didn’t play well at all. She was hungry and grabbed the opportunity. My play was not as it is usually.
- I have seen her play and I knew she had a high level of course I think it’s always a little difficult for me to play new opponents. I’m always better the second and third time so hopefully I will get my revenge another time.

Danish showdown Friday
- Peter Gade won as aspected against German Marc Zviebler 21-16/21-16.  This means that there will be a Danish showdown between young Viktor Axelsen, who earlier today beat former Olympic champion Taufik, and Peter Hoeg Gade. Rest assured that this game even though it is just a quarterfinal will be the most memorable one for the Danish fans. No later than Tuesday Lin Dan, who is now out of the tournament called Viktor the next Peter Gade and said the he is the next big thing in Denmark. It will most definitely be a fight between the king and the crown prince of Danish Badminton.
