In the autumn holiday around 650 youth players come to Odense to play Yonex Denmark Junior and see Yonex Denmark Open.
On Tuesday the international badminton elite enters the green courts in Odense Sports hall. But it's not just the big stars who are about to clear, smash and drop in the autumn holiday. 650 youth players are about to do the same when they take on Yonex Denmark
Junior.
New youth tournament
Badminton Denmark has taken the initiative to launch Yonex Denmark Junior – a brand ney youth tournament. The tournament takes place in the halls around Odense during Yonex Denmark Open. This allows youth players to play badminton during the day and see the
stars in action at night.
It is free for the young players to go and see Yonex Denmark Open on their own match days explains Brian Bach Moesgaard, event manager for Badminton Denmark.
- The idea is that the youth players play singles during the day and then they can get in for free in the evening and watch Yonex Denmark Open and hopefully get some inspiration for the next day, where they will play doubles, says the event manager.
