Jan Ø. Jørgensen takes one match at a time when he plays Yonex Denmark Open next week.
All of them will be there. Both world champion and Olympic champion Lin Dan, and world rankings number one Lee Chong Wei have announced their arrival. It's the strongest men's singles field ever to attend at this year's Yonex Denmark Open. Therefore, it will
not be easy for Danish Jan Ø. Jørgensen to defend his Denmark Open title from last year.
- It will be very very difficult. Denmark Open is the World Championship I missed this summer. The tournament is quite absurd strong. But it's cool that the Danes have the opportunity to experience something unique, says Jan Ø. and comes with a little request.
- We Danes really need extra support this year if we are to win the number of titles that we usually do in Odense.
A match at a time
In first round Jan Ø. meets a qualifier when he plays his first match in Odense Sports hall on Wednesday.
- I’ ll take one match at a time. I am not at a place right now where I think about the results. So I go to Odense with the hope to show some good badminton here and there, says the Dane and continues.
- I've had a very mixed period and I am struggling to come back after an injury. So I can not allow myself to have so many ambitions.
