The biggest star of Denmark Open can not participate. Peter Gade is still injured and will not make it to the beginning of his Denmark Open. He still suffers for a back injury he got last week, and the top seeded Dane is sad to realize he cannot play Denmark Open:
- It is a new injury I have never had a back injury before. I did some test during the weekend, but this Sunday I realized I could miss Denmark Open and it was a matter of time, says Peter Gade.
He lost the race and can not participate. But even though he fails to participate, Peter Gade is positive that this is the right decision:
- I have done everything I could to be ready. I am feeling better, but I can’t risk my health even though I would go very far to play the Denmark Open, says Peter Gade.
The medical staff has been working day and night but they agree in Gade’s decision about not playing. And National Head Coach of Denmark Lars Uhre is of course disappointed about not having Peter Gade on court in Odense, but is aware of the danger if he had chosen to play:
