The defending champion is ready for yet another final. Tine Baun had no trouble at all against her young Czech opponent Kristina Ludikova. From the very first rally it was obvious that Tine Baun was confident on controlling the game and had a win in her mind. And after not even playing half an hour, Tine Baun came out on top after a brilliant match. She ended Ludikova’s dream with fast and very aggressive play she controlled the match and won 21-10, 21-13.
- I’m glad to be back, I felt good on court, and showed the audience some good badminton play. And beating Kristina with such a big score is nice because she has been close, so now I think I made the statement that there is still a long way for her, Tine says. She must think of their match earlier this winter in the National League, where Ludikova won a game.
Great focus
But Tine had some trouble during the match. In the beginning of the second game, she needed help by her husband and physiotherapist. But gladly nothing was wrong with her leg, only the tape was broken and she did not want to risk anything.

Although the two times champion was indeed happy with her focus today:
- I think I dealt with my focus quite well and did some good play I have been working on lately; the fast play and playing with the right high at my lob, Tine says.
The result means she is the first player to reach the final on Wednesday – and she got a nice day off tomorrow before a final against either Pi Hongyan or Salakjit Ponsana. Pi Hongyan is a well known player of Danish badminton with her earlier appearance in the national league, but Ponsana has proven her skills in Denmark beating Tine Baun in this year’s Denmark Super Series.
