Polish victory in a thriller match

- It is amazing to be in the final. I’ve played men’s doubles here two times before, but I have never been to the final, says Robert Mateusiak.

But it was not easy for the polish mixed double. After a tight win in the first set, their Indonesian opponent stroke back and won 21/19 and wanted a rubber game.

Both pairs seemed nervous until the European mixed double could celebrate the 26/24-victory:
- I was so nervous in the end. Normally I get nervous, but I’ve never been serving this bad. It was important, Nadiezda should serve at the last point, admits Mateusiak.

Their success is a bit surprising for him, because the Christmas have been influential on their shape:
- We’re actually in a bit bad shape because of the Christmas break, and we have eaten a lot. But we love being her. We just want to show great badminton, and I believe the crowd likes it. There is a nice atmosphere here.

The polish pair is going to play the World Champions, Thomas Laybourn and Kamilla Juhl in tomorrow’s final. And even though Laybourn thinks, the polish pair is the favorites, Robert Mateusiak is not convinced:
- He is just being nice. They are world champions and big favorites tomorrow; we just have to enjoy it.
