Jonas Rasmussen and Mads Conrad is the new hope for the coming Olympics, and Rasmussen and Conrad showed a bit of their quality Tuesday evening in the Copenhagen Masters. They defeated Rian Sukmawan and Markis Kido.
The Indonesians used the first game as a warm-up, and Kido/Sukmawan just played slow and defensive. Especially the more experienced Kido was lazy in the opening game but showed a few skills after their change of ends.

And leading 11-8 the red shirted Indonesians must had regained some hope, but only for short notice. Jonas Rasmussen and Mads Conrad overpowered their opponents by narrow net play and great patience in the offensive part of the match.
Therefore nobody was surprised when the Danes celebrated their 21-18-win and by that a spot in tomorrow’s final.

- It’s great to be in another final, this is a tournament I have been watching since I was a kid. For the last two years I have won the tournament and now I am the final with my new partner, so that is just amazing, Jonas Rasmussen says.
Rasmussen and Conrad will face their fellow Danes from the National training center Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen. The Danes have never won the title but came in second the two last years – losing to Jonas Rasmussen and his former partner Lars Paaske. And Jonas Rasmussen believe in his chances of getting the third in a row.
- When I’m here, I want to win, I’m not here just for fun even though it is a great tournament, Jonas Rasmussen says.
