The famous TV chef in Denmark Claus Meyer gave a talk about his life as an entrepreneur and the guest were served a five-course meal. Claus Meyer is a big fan of badminton and loves to play himself.
Meeting a world champion Between the meals, Kamilla Rytter Juhl was invited to talk about Danish badminton and her own experience winning a gold medal in mixed double at the World Championship. Unfortunately her mixed double partner Thomas Laybourn is injured so she is not participating in the mixed doubles tournament at Denmark Open. However, she is playing women’s doubles with her partner Lena Frier Kristiansen.
It was a great chance for the guests to get a closer view at one of the Danish badminton stars.
A race for a racket The guests were given the chance to bid when Kamilla Rytter Juhl’s racket from the World Championship came up for auction. Casper Grønnegaard from Ret & Råd Advokater (a law firm) made the highest bid at 7558, 50 Dkk (approximately 1000 Euros.) The money goes to ‘Diabetes Foreningen’- a Danish association fighting Diabetes.
