Third seed Danish couple Boe/Mogensen had a difficult start to their quarterfinal, in which they faced English couple Adcock/Blair. The Danes went behind 8 – 4 in the beginning of the first set. The Danes fought back, though, and at 14 – 13 they took the lead. From that point Boe/Mogensen controlled the rest of the set and won it by 21 – 16.
Second set was very close in the beginning, and non of the couples managed to take a big lead until Adcock/Blair went ahead 14 – 10. Boe/Mogensen couldn’t find the rythm and made too many unforced errors. However, they got back into the game and took control. The Danes showed their experience in the end of the set and won 21 – 19.
Boe/Mogensen now face first seed Indonesians Kido/Setiawan in the Semi final.

Danish dynamite done Kasper Henriksen and Anders Kristiansen have played one of their best tournaments but today the journey ended. They lost their match against Jiaming Tao/Junije Sun from China 21-19 19-21 16-21. However, it has been a successful Denmark Open for Henriksen/Kristiansen:
“We have played three matches on a high level and we have beaten some of the best players in the world and it gives a lot of confidence. We played horribly in our latest tournament so it just gives a lot of confidence. It was a great pleasure playing in front of the home crowd and one of the reasons why we had such a successful tournament, ”said Kasper Henriksen after the match. | | BadmintonPhoto |
