Danish badminton leads the way in developing new coaching methods. Today coaches from Denmark participated in a conference about how to improve their skills as a badminton coach.
At first Bo Ømosegaard from the Badminton Association of Denmark gave a talk about BATK, which is the scientific method behind coaching players in relation to their age. The coaching consulent Kim Christrup also tolled about the coaching principles Teknika and Miniton that has become a great success here in Denmark.
Afterwards Ulrik Jensen gave a presentation on another interesting coaching project in Denmark, which has a focus on how to educate the coaches in the future.
Morten Bjergen told about ‘Best on court’ and the website www.bestoncourt.com where you can download videos and look how to perform the different shots in badminton.
Finally all the participants entered the hall to see today’s matches.
‘Future café’ has a lot of other activities during the weekend. We will follow up.
