No won has been allowed one game yet. Carsten Mogensen and Mathias Boe are ready for the second Denmark Open finale in a row. Carsten Mogensen and Mathias Boe were superior this Saturday smashing Japanese Hirobe and Kazuno 21-11 and 21-16.

Last year they lost in a close match, but they can have their revenge tomorrow when they meet Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan. They two pairs met in last year’s semi-final where Boe and Mogensen won in two straight games. And about the star clash, Carsten Mogensen appoints:

- We have played them a couple of times and we know that they are taking the chances on the three first, so we have to be focused and almost like the same as today, and not make any mistakes at the first three.

Mathias Boe adds that they definitely will go for the title:

We are aiming for a win. We have been in many finals, so of course it is only the goal that really counts so we are aiming for that tomorrow, he says.

Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan should also only use two games to book their ticket for the finals. They beat another Japanese pair, Endo and Hayakawa 21-15 and 21-16.

While the Japanese men’s doubles were sent out, the domination in the ladies doubles continues. Top seed Maeda and Suetsuna had no trouble beating their Russian opponents Sorokina and Vislova, 21-11 and 21-9 in only 35 minutes.

The other semi-final was a completely different story. The all Japanese match was this year’s longest fight. Fujii and Kakiiwa had to resign in the middle of the third game. Fujii was obviously injured in her right leg but after struggling for nothing less than 100 minutes, she withdrew at the score line 5-11. The longest rally of the match lasted 172 strokes! No wonder the Japanese had a hard time carrying their bags.
