Christinna Pedersen/Joachim Fischer, Denmark

World ranking: 17

Christinna Pedersen and Joachim Fischer are most certainly one of the best pairs in the world. Sadly, Joahim Fischer has struggled with some injuries, which is the reason why they are not featured among the ten best pairs on the world ranking. However, these past few tournaments the Danes have proven to be well on their way was back as they reached the semifinals in Japan Open earlier this year.  At home ground, Christinna Pedersen and Joachim Fischer have won Denmark Open twice, but never before have they won at Copenhagen Masters. Maybe this will be their year?

Kamilla Rytter Juhl/Mikkel Delbo, Denmark

World ranking: 1/48

Danish top mixed double player Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Thomas Laybourn are not just one of the very best couples in the world, they are also the defending champions of Copenhagen Masters.  However, this year Thomas Laybourn is replaced by young talent Mikkel Delbo, as he is suffering from a knee injury.

Kamilla's international break came when she and Thomas Laybourn surprised everyone reaching the All England final back in 2005. Just last summer the Danish couple achieved their greatest accomplishment so far when they became the 2009 World Champions. It has only been  a couple of months since they spellbound the Danish crowd as they won Denmark Open. Now, it will be exciting to see what Kamilla and Mikkel can do against the strong international couples at Masters.

  Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam, Thailand

World ranking: 2

Sudket and Saralee are the strongest couple from Thailand, and this year they have had their big break. Just a few months ago the pair got their best result so far at this year’s French Open where they took home the title. Also, they reached the semifinals in both Denmark Open and Malaysia Open this year.

Sudket and Saralee are new to Copenhagen Masters, so it will be exiting to see how they do against the rest of the stars in the mixed category.

Hendra Gunawan/Vita Marissa, Indonesia

World ranking: 3

At number two in the world, Gunawan and Marissa have been one of the most successful Indonesian mixdoubles through the years.  Earlier this year they won the Chinese Taipei Grand Prix and last time they played on Danish soil, they reached the semifinals in Denmark Open. Back then they lost to Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Thomas Laybourn, but now they will have the chance to face the Danes again here in Copenhagen.
