Even though Boonsak Ponsana was a bit too strong for Hans-Kristian Vittinghus, the young Dane can definitely be proud of his performance at his first Copenhagen Masters ever.

In today's last match he delivered a true fight against the world's number five and forced him into playing three sets. The first game was a really close affair. But with a bit of help from an extatic audience and a superb performance Hans-Kristian Vittinghus surprised everyone and took home the first game 21-18.

In the second game, Boonsak Ponsana started off great, taking the lead instantly. And even though Vittinghus tried his best to hang on, Ponsana was too far ahead, and won the game 21-11.

In the third game it was Vittinghus's turn to start off great. However, Ponsana caught up with him by the middle of the game. From there it became a close match even though Ponsana was one or two points ahead throughout the game. Vittinghus, however, kept fighting to very end, but he could not keep Ponsana from grabbing the victory and a spot in the final with the scores 18-21, 21-11, 21-19.

After the match, Vittinghus was dissapointed but at the same time happy with his perfomance.

-I am actually quite satisfied. I think, I played a good match and I improved a lot compared to this afternoon, when I played against Wong Choong Hann. I am happy with my performance and I did the best I could, it just wasn't enough in the end, Hans-Kristian Vittinghus says.

Still, there is no doubt, that his first experience at Masters has been a good one for the 24-year old Dane.

-It has been a great experience. It was so great to play in front of this crowd, which supported me so much. So, I look forward to coming back again, even though I need to improve to be invited again. But I hope that I can improve, so I can get an invitation next year, Vittinghus says.

That means, that Boonsak Ponsana is through to tomorrow's final where he will be meating Peter Gade in a very interesting match between two of the very best players in the world.
