Chen Long played two games against Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk from Thailand, who has been playing very well at Yonex Denmark Open, and is now ready for the finale tomorrow.

They two players are very equal at the start of the first game, but when Chen Long Steps up his game and Saensomboonsuk starts making some mistakes the Chinese takes the lead. The Thai never gives up, but at times is looks really easy for Chen Long and he wins the first game 21-18.

“I was more fired up today. I think of it as one match left to go, and then I was in the final. I could really feel the crowd’s support and I wanted to give something back to them,” Chen Long says.

In the second game it seems that Saensomboonsuk figures out how he must play the Chinese star. Some really long and exciting rallies are entertaining the crowd, who enjoys the match. But as soon the Thai starts to get tired, Chen Long takes advantage of it, and he wins the game 21-13.

In tomorrow’s final he will face either compatriot Du Pengyu or the world’s number one Lee Chong Wei, who so far has defeated the two Danes Viktor Axelsen and Jan Ø. Jørgensen on his way to the semifinal.

“I would look forward to play Lee Chong Wei because I can learn a lot from those games. There will not be so many chances facing him as times go by, so it would be really interesting,” Chen Long says.
