Another great day at DANISA DENMARK OPEN represented by VICTOR awaits today with great matches in all categories. Get a quick overview of some of the matches of today.

The first players have left the tournament while others advance to the next round. Round 1 is over and done with and now it is time for round 2.

Last year’s winner of the tournament moved on to the second round after a tough match. The Thai Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk commented on being back in Odense after winning last year:

- I feel really happy here, I see progression in my game, said Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk.

Today he will face a though opponent as he takes on Korean Lee Hyun Ill, who surprisingly beat Chen Long in two sets Wednesday evening. The Korean leads 6-0 in previous matches versus the Thai.

In the women’s singles there is also excitement to be found. The no.1 seed Tai Tzu Ying moved on from the first round Wednesday and will now face the Thai Busanan Ongbamrungphan. The Thai has won the two previous meets between the two. Will she be able to do it again?

Another thrilling match is found in the men’s doubles category. The Indonesian world no. 1 Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo will meet a young Danish couple David Daugaard/Mathias Christiansen. Can the Danes deliver a surprise in round 2 of the tournament?

Also in the women’s doubles you will find matches worth your while. The world no. 1 Japanese pair Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi won an easy first round match after their opponent had to withdraw with injury. Now the Japanese will have to be ready for their second round match against the Koreans Chae Yoo Jung/Hye Rin Kim.

The crowd in Odense will get a treat in the mixed doubles where the Indonesian Olympic and World Champions Liliyana Natsir/Tontowi Ahmad will play the relatively new Danish pair Line Kjærsfeldt/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen. The Indonesians have never won this tournament before; will they be able to take another step towards the title and get through to the quarters on Friday?

We are looking forward to another great day at DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR, the doors will open at 9 am.
