The seedings for this year’s DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR are now released and we are happy to see two seedings which will take Danes to the finals.
The Danish world champion in men’s singles Viktor Axelsen is second seeded in his bid to win DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR in his hometown, Odense.
Maybe he will face Son Wan Ho in the final as the world ranked number one is the only one who seeded higher than Axelsen. Strong competitors like Lin Dan, Shi Yuqi, Chen Long, Lee Chong Wei and Kidambi Srikanth are also seeded.
Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen are also seeded for DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR. The Danish winners of Korea Open and Singapore Open are top seed in the strong-looking men’s doubles draw.
Behind them are Marcus Gideon/Kevin Sukamuljo as second seeded. The Chinese world champions Zhang Nan/Liu Cheng are seeded as number five.
The world champion Nozomi Okuhara just got her seeding in the women’s singles as she is seeded eight. Tai Tzu Ying is seeded one and P. V. Sindhu is just behind her.
Christinna Pedersen/Kamilla Rytter Juhl almost got them seeded for the final in women’s doubles, but the two best seedings goes to the world class players Ayaka Takahashi/Misaki Matsutomo and Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan who also won the world championships.
In mixed doubles, the world champions got themselves a seedning as number three. Runner-up from the world championships Zheng Siwei/Chen Qingchen are top seeded and Chris Adcock/Gabrielle Adcock are the only Europeans who are seeded in the mixed doubles category.
