Three out of five finals tomorrow, Saturday, are with all-Danish participation
When the finals at Forza Denmark International commence Saturday at 12.00 PM, all five of them will feature Danish players. Three of the five finals are all-Danish.
In the ladies single, Anna Thea Madsen will face Sandra-Maria Jensen. Both players won their semi finals in three games, both as close calls. Anna Thea won 21-19 in the third and final game in her match, while Sandra-Maria won 21-18 in hers. The last time the two Danes met was at the Danish nationals back in February, where Sandra-Maria Jensen won.
In the men's singles, Rune Ulsing is facing Henri Hurskainen. Rune Ulsing managed to beat Brice Leverdez of France, who until the semi final had beaten two Danes. The match ended 23-21 / 21-10 in favor of Ulsing. Henri Hurskainen beat his countryman, Gabriel Ulldahl, in his semifinal by 21-12 / 15-21 / 21-17.
Two for Kolding
Mads Kolding will feature in both the men's doubles final and the mixed doubles final. In men's doubles, he and Christian Skovgaard beat Peter Mills and Chris Langridge in three close games. In the final, they will face Rasmus Bonde and Kasper Antonsen.
With Julie Houmann, he managed to send Rasmus Bonde and Maria Helsbøl out of the tournament after a long and intense match, that also lasted for three games. It ended with the final cifres 27-29 / 21-16 / 21-11. They are, in the final, set to meet Line Kjærsfeldt and Kim Astrup, who beat Peter Mills and Heather Olver in three games.
In the ladies doubles final, the favourites, Marie Røpke and Line Kruse, will meet Gabrielle White and Lauren Smith. Remarkably, neither Kruse and Røpke nor White and Smith have given away a single game in the tournament so far.
