In the fairy tale city of Odense there’s a chance to become one of the world-wide badminton record holders.
Christinna Pedersen and Kamilla Rytter Juhl faces Naoko Fukuman and Kurumi Yonao from Japan today at All England. And the Danish women’s double must be in good shape to beat the Japanese who hold the record of the longest rally ever. A record that was made at Yonex Denmark Open presented by Danisa.
In 2015 Fukuman/Yonao played against Poon/Tse from Hong Kong at Yonex Denmark Open presented by Danisa and that match is now in the book of badminton records.
256 shots in four minutes and 32 seconds. That was one of the rallies between the two doubles and that rally is the longest ever in badminton history.
Even though the Japanese pair won the rally, they couldn't beat Poon and Tse, who won the match in three games with the score 21-15, 15-21, 21-14.
