Get ready for the semi-finals!

After some dramatic quarterfinals yesterday it is now time for the semi-finals here at Yonex Denmark Open presented by Danisa, so get ready!

With all the Danes gone in the men’s singles the audience has a new favourite: the only remaining European in the category, French Brice Leverdez.

Yesterday he defeated superstar Lee Chong Wei and today he is facing Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk from Thailand. The Thai crushed the dreams of young Danish Anders Antonsen yesterday in his quarterfinal.

This could be a very close and exciting match between two players who has surprised everybody with their semi-final appearances.

In men’s double the 2012 Olympic silver medallists are facing the 2016 Olympic silver medallists as Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen are up against Goh and Tan from Malaysia.

The Danes have been playing extremely well this week, so this is definitely a match to look forward to!

In women’s singles Carolina Marin is Facing Akane Yamaguchi from Japan.

Marin has complained about being sick this week, but she's a bigger fighter than anyone can imagine. That’s why she’s still in the tournament. She has played three sets in all of her matched here in Odense, but will this be her first straight set win?

Joachim Fischer and Christinna Pedersen played their best match in a long time yesterday, as they defeated the world no. 1, but can they follow up on that victory against Chris and Gabrielle Adcock? The two pair have a history of close matches and we can only hope for yet another one of those.

It will be a great day of badminton here in Odense – let the fun begin!
