Good day for Danish mixed doubles

Two out of three Danish mixed doubles are through to the quarter finals at Yonex Denmark Open.

The second day at Yonex Denmark Open prooved to be a good day for the Danish mixed doubles, who have two pairs in the quarter finals.

Thomas Laybourn and Kamilla Rytter Juhl won their second round match against a Korean couple after winning in two sets.

- We were playing really well. Everything worked out as planned, so it was just fun out there today, said Thomas Laybourn after the victory.

The Danes are playing Xu Chen and Ma Jin from China tomorrow. The Chinesee double won their second round match against Mads Kolding and Julie Houmann in two sets.

Tough match awaits
Semi final seeded Joachim Fischer and Chrstinna Pedersen are also through to the quarter final for tomorrow after winning against another Korean couple.

- We struggled a little bit in our game today but we won it pretty easy in the end so it was a nice win, said Joachim Fischer.

In the quarter final for tomorrow the Danes are playing a couple from India.

- I expect a tough match. We have to be 100 per cent ready for tomorrow, said Christinna Pedersen.
