Danish design is world class. Danish badminton is the same. Therefore the spectators at Yonex Denmark Open will have opportunity to look at designer furniture, while the game is underway.
It is the furniture manufacturer Carl Hansen & Son, who for Yonex Denmark Open makes furniture available. The line judges will sit on Hans J. Wegner Y-chair, while there will also be lounge areas around Odense Sport Park.
- Danish badminton is world class and Danish design is world class and the two things are incredibly well together. There is a good synergy that works well together and Badminton Denmark has a good brand in Asia, Manager of CHS academy Palle Pors says.
- A tournament like Yonex Denmark Open is very interesting. We have in the past few years the traditional way attempted to get into the Asian market and it has been partly successful. We hope that Yonex Denmark Open can help to open even more doors out there,
says Palle Pors.
Non-profit deal
Event Manager at Badminton Denmark, Brian Moesgaard, is pleased the new cooperation. He is happy and proud that Danish badminton may be able to help Danish businesses.
- We love to work associations. I am glad that we can help local traders to be exposed in a place where they can benefit from it. We know we have a good product in Asia and I am glad that I at the same time raise our tournament and provides among other things,
Carl Hansen & Son opportunity to expose their products, Brian Moesgaard says.
- There is no money in the agreement. It is pure non-profit. We have a great support from the business at Fyn which we are happy for, and we are pleased that we together can do something to link sport and business closer together, event manager says.
