The best players around the world come to Denmark in the autumm holiday to play Yonex Denmark Open.

Peter Gade is Denmark's best bet for a medal in men's singles, and even though the Dane is seeded to reach the semifinals, he has not been giving an easy road. He is set to play the Chinese talent Wang Zheng Ming in the first round.
- It's a tricky first round against a good Chinese, but that’s the way it is in these tournaments. We play for olympic points, and he is a player who will make it hard for me. But if I play well, I will beat him, says Peter Gade.
Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia is seeded one in the men's singles, while world champion Lin Dan from China is seeded to reach the final.
In women's singles China is represented with strong players such as Wang Yihan, Wang Shixian and Wang Xin. These players have all reached Super Series victories this year and they are ready to meet the European challengers such as Danish champion Tine Baun
and German Juliane Schenk.
Strong doubles
Just as in the men’s and ladies single there are strong doubleplayers too at Yonex Denmark Open. The defending world champions Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng have announced their arrival in men’s double, but strong names like Koreans Jung Jae Sung and Lee Jong Dae
and the Danes Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen are also ready to fight for the victory.
In women's doubles great matches awaits as well when the best Chinese women's doubles clash with the Japanese. The two countries have shared the four best seedings between them.
In mixed doubles Denmark among others is represented by Joachim Fischer, Christinna Pedersen and Thomas Laybourn and Kamilla Rytter Juhl. At Yonex Denmark Open they will be accompanied by names such as Zang Nan and Zhao Yunlai from China who is seeded one
and Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir from Indonesia, who is seeded second in the tournament.
