Around 650 youth players come to Odense in the autumn holiday to play Denmark Yonex Junior.
Yonex Denmark Open takes place during the autumm holiday with the arrival of the international badminton elite. Lin Dan, Wang Yihan and Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng are just a selection of the star parade, which can be experienced in Odense Sports Center in the days
from october nineteenth to october twenty-third. But Odense also offers another great experience in the autumn holiday.
For the first time Badminton Denmark launches a brand new tournament called Yonex Denmark Junior. A tournament for youth players that will take place at the same time as Yonex Denmark Open.
- I think we have registered 650 players for the tournament, and it is far more than we had expected, says Anne Juul Christiansen from Badminton Denmark and elaborates:
- We hear from the clubs that the players really want to come and see Yonex Denmark Open, but at the same time they want to play badminton. We have therefore taken the initiative to arrange Yonex Denmark Junior in the autumm holiday, explains Anne Juul Christiansen.
Free access to Denmark Open
Participants to the new youth tournament get free entry to Denmark Open on the days where they will play Yonex Denmark Junior.
This gives both players the opportunity to play a lot of badminton and also see the international stars competing against each other
in Yonex Denmark Open, explains Anne Juul Christensen.
