The seedings for Yonex Denmark Open 2011 is ready
And once again it’s clear that this year it becomes hard to get the Yonex Denmark Open title in the men’s single.
Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia is seeded one, while the Chinese world champion Lin Dan is seeded two. The Chinese talent Chen Long is seeded three, and the Danish favorite, Peter Gade, is seeded as number four.
- It's tough. You can have some hard combinations, but it may also be some easier. The important thing is that I am ready, because you must play well if you are to win this tournament, Peter Gade says.
- Lee Chong Wei and Lin Dan are seeded as one and two, so everything is as it should be. It should also mean that there is not much of a difference whether you are seeded three and four.
Axelsen ready for challenge
One of the young talents who are present when the main draw kicks off at 18 October is Viktor Axelsen. The local talent avoids the qualification.
- It's cool to go directly to the main draw. It is not easy in an Olympic year, so I'm really looking forward to play at home ground in Odense, Axelsen says, and he is ready to do his best.
- There are many good players, and I would love to play someone who is low on the ranking. But if I meet one of the real good players, it's great to get experience and see how I can do it against them, says Axelsen.
