The masterful Chinese mix double Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei have won almost every competition they have participated in this year, and lately Nan/Yunlei demonstrated their superiority over the rest of the mix doubles field with a gold medal in Korea Open.
But something has happened since then. Today they met Shin Baek Cheol and Yoo Jung Chae from Korea, and the Chinese were completely transformed.
In 46 minutes of the second round of Yonex Denmark Open presented by Danisa, the Koreans made a remarkable perfomance winning in two games 22-20/21-18. Surely a match to remember for Cheol/Chae, who without any chance were defeated by the Chinese super stars in the quarter finales of Korea Open.
In tomorrow’s quarter finals in Odense they will meet homeground favorites Christinna Pedersen and Joachim Fischer or Ayane Kurihara and Kenta Kazuno fra Japan.
