On the first day of the Yonex Denmark Open 2015 presented by Danisa the 1st and 3rd seeded Chinese Mixed Double pairs went through without any troubles.

The main tournament at Yonex Denmark Open 2015 presented by Danisa started tuesday evening with the Mixed Doubles. Big names played there first match. The 1st seeded Zhao Yunlei/Zhang Nan won against the Indonesian pair Widianto/Dili with 21-15 / 21-19. The 3rd seeded pair Xu Chen/Ma Yin also won in straight games - 21-11 / 21-14.

In another court Wang Yilv/Luo Yu, a third Chinese pair, were up against the danish darlings Fischer/Pedersen. The newly founded Chinese pair started very well and was ahead the entire first set and won 21/19. The home court favorites striked back and won both second and third set and avoided a danish disappointment.

We had a short chat with the danes after the match.

“We don’t play very well in most of the first two games. We do not play in the tempo it takes to take on the Chinese pair. We did not know the pair at all and they knew us very well because of all our matches against other Chinese Pairs. They were well prepared and they took advantage of our weaknesses,” Joachim Fischer said.

The seeded pairs matches ended like this:

Xu/Ma - Lee/Chau : 21-11 / 21-14

Zhang/Zhao - Widianto/Dili : 21-15 / 21-17

Fischer/Pedersen - Wang Yilv/Luo Yu : 19-21 / 21-16 / 21-7

The rest of the days results can be seen here.
