He is the only hope, they got. But luckily Jan Ø. Jørgensen did not disappoint the noisy crowd. The Dane proceeds to the semi finals after well played match against Marc Zwiebler from Germany.
Jan Ø. Jørgensen was off to a flyer leading 11-4, but the left handed German kept on fighting and suddenly was ahead 13-12. But this was all he got today from Jan Ø. Jørgensen.
The Dane was patient and got confident when he caught the first game 21-16.
The German ended up with three more points in the second game, but even though he reached 19 points Jan Ø. Jørgensen was in control after all. And with his 21-19 win Jan Ø. Jørgensen is in the semi finals second year in a row. But this time he does not want to end it here:

But first he has to beat Hu Yun who defeated Polish Wacha in two straight games. Jan Ø. Jørgensen describes his opponent as a typical Asian player with great technical skills.
Hu Yun was truly happy about being in his first Super Series semi final and believed he and Jan Ø. Jørgensen are almost at level.
Taufik stuns Tago
The other semi final will be a classic clash between Indonesia and China. The Indonesian top star Taufik Hidayat played a must see match today in Odense. His game was on a high level and especially his net play must frustrate his opponent Tago. Taufik showed today he is unbeatable when it comes to net drops. With two times 21-19 he assured he is still the big favorite to win the title on Sunday. He will meet Du Pengyu from China who also stopped his challenger in two games. Kashyap Parupalli won yesterday against Boonsak Ponsana but could not make another upset and lost 21-17 and 21-13.
