Unseeded Danish couple Henriksen/Kristiansen played an exellent match against the fourth seed Malasian pair Latif/Tazari. The Malasians took the first set as expected by 21 – 14, but the brave Danes came up with a fantastic comeback in the second and third set. They won the second set 21 – 17 and finished off a thrilling third set by winning 21 – 19.

Third seed Danes Boe/Mogensen never found their best game, but they fought their way to a straight set win against Japanese couple Hashimoto/Hirata. The Danish crowd favourites won by 21 – 15 and 21 – 19.

The experienced couple Paaske/Rasmussen also made it through to the quarterfinals after beating Ashan/Septano from Indonesia. The sixth seed Danes never had trouble, as they got an easy win by 21 – 16 and 21 – 10. Paaske/Rasmussen now face second seed Malasians Koo/Tan in the quarterfinal. | |
