(badmintonphoto) Thomas Laybourn is injured, but Kamilla Juhl does not end her dreams of winning Copenhagen Masters. She called in Mikkel Delbo, and that turned out quite good against their opponents from Thailand. It was a very even first game, the two pairs was fighting for the attack, but in the end the Danes succeeded in a patient offensive style and the Thai began to commit unforced errors. Sudket and Saralee could not find a way out and lost 21-18. There was not memorable failing of communication between the Danes, despite the fact they are not playing together normally. Mikkel Delbo has substituted an injured Thomas Laybourn and fit his role quite well. Kamilla Juhl took charge of the net, and that frustrated Saralee to whom it is crucial to control the net. Saralee and Sudket is currently placed second in the world, but in the first and a half game they did not keep up their standard – but down 12-6 and struggling the world class players began to show their normal game. The second game ended up so close the audience must gasp, but gladly to the crowd, the Danes closed the match 23-21.
- It's amazing to play here in front of the shouting crowd, the 'new kid in the class' Mikkel Delbo says after his victory.
Tomorrow they will meet another Danish pair; Joachim Fisher and Christinna Pedersen. Usually when the two best pairs is clashing it is an even match, but Fisher and Pedersen will definitely be the favorites in tomorrow’s match. But Delbo and Juhl just want to enjoy the game and maybe bring home the title: - We will just have to fight for it, Kamilla Juhl says.
