It is the day of the finals and Christinna Pedersen and Joachim Fischer opened the night with their first ever victory at Copenhagen Masters.

In the final they beat Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Mikkel Delbo, who, never the less, put up a great fight.

In the first set, the match was even until the middle of the set, where Fischer and Pedersen picked up the pace and won the set 21-18.

But even though Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Mikkel Delbo do not usually play together, the two managed to put up a great fight during the whole match.

And so, they started off well in the second taking the lead in the beginning of the set. One might have thought, that a young player like Delbo would be in awe playing his first Copenhagen Masters ever, but he kept his focus during the entire match.

Throughout the second set Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Mikkel Delbo put pressure on the established couple which led to them winning the second set 21-18. That meant, that the audience would get to watch a third set of mixed double.

In the third set, the scores were even until the middle of the set, but after the break Fischer and Pedersen started pulling away.

And in the end, Joachim Fischer and Christinna Pedersen managed to show why they won the Hong Kong Super Series just a few weeks ago as they were simply too strong a match for their fellow Danes.

They won the match in three sets 21-18,18-21 21-15.

-It was quite close today, and we did not reach our top level. But on the other hand, they played well, and Kamilla put a lot of pressure on us, so we were lucky that we won in the end, Joachim Fischer says.

Last year, Joachim Fischer was injured, which is why the pair did not play. And the Danes were both happy and relieved to have won this year.

-It wasn't a great game today but we fought the whole match, and in the end we won, so we are really happy, Christinna Pedersen says.
