The top seeded Danes Carsten Mogensen and Mathias Boe did not fall the way Tine Baun or Conrad/Rasmussen did. Mogensen and Boe are through to the quarter finals after the win against the fellow Danes, Rasmus Bonde and Anders Kristiansen. The new pair tried their best to overpower the world’s number two but without luck. 21-15 and 21-18 was the score line, and after the match Carsten Mogensen and Mathias Boe were relieved:

We focus on the match and try to play our best. We need to play our best to beat Anders and Rasmus and we played very well today, Carsten Mogensen explained.

Before the tournament, Mogensen and Boe were unhappy about the level at the training, but today was a positive match for the hopeful Danes:

- I think we have improved we are 5-10 percent sharper, so it is good but there is still room for improvement, Mathias Boe says.

Mogensen and Boe will play Mak and Tan from Malaysia in the quarter finals. Mak and Tan beat another Danish pair in a hard fight. Mikkel Elbjørn and Christian Skovgaard were beaten 21-15 in the final game.

Another seeded pair also cruised their way into the quarters. Endo and Hayakawa from Japan defeated Durkin and Nikolaenko from Russia in a tight two sets match. Endo and Hayakawa are seeded 8 and will do the fellow Japanese Hashimoto and Hirata, seeded 4 , company in the quarter finals.
