The Danes never really got their game going. The Malaysian couple just played their game while Rasmussen and Paaske made the mistakes. Kien Keat Koo/Boon Heong Tan won the first set 11-21. Second set was a little bit closer. The couple from Malaysia was still leading but the Danes kept on following. At the end they couldn’t keep up and they lost the second set 21-16.
They play with confidence
Kien Keat Koo/Boon Heong Tan is currently ranked number two in the world. It’s a difficult pair to play against.
“When they play with a lot of confidence it’s really difficult to beat them. If we have played a better first set maybe our chances would have been better. But it didn’t turn out our way,” said Jonas Rasmussen after the match. The Danish couple is now looking forward to next week’s tournament in France where they also have a tough draw.
