In the second set the Dane got off to a great start and grabbed a five point lead 9 – 4. Anand had trouble finding the right lenght and made a lot of unforced errors. Sune Gavnholt even got a ten point lead at 16 – 6. The Danish sensation won the second set 21 – 15 and the crowd went crazy.
The Indian favourite began the third set in style. He got a five point lead at 6 – 1. Sune Gavnholt tried to pull himself up, but as they switched sides he was down 11 – 3. The Dane was obviously tired after the three matches he already played in Denmark Open. He lost the final set 21 – 9.
