Today was the official debut of the newly formed Danish couple Mads Conrad and Jonas Rasmussen. In their first match the two Danes where up against fellow Dane Simon Mollyhus and his Indonesian partner Flandy Limpele. And the two were happy afterwards:
I must admit I was a little bit nervous today before the match, because I wanted to do well and I wanted to win so much. But we fighted today and that was all that mattered. We neeeded to win this one, Mads Conrad-Petersen admits.
Favorites Tomorrow In the second round Conrad and Rasmussen will play a German pair from the qualification. And about the match against Michael Fuchs and Oliver Roth, Mads Conrad assures: Tomorrow we are the favourites, but we have lost to them once at a team match against Germany, so we know that we have to be completely ready. Hopefully we will win, he says. Yet another Danish men’s double is ready for the second round. Top seeded Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen survived a difficult draw and defeated Goh and Teo from Malaysia with 21-13 and 21-19. This means that the Danish favorites are ready for an all Danish match against Anders Kristiansen and Rasmus Bonde.
