Today’s second round has been hard on the Danish favourites. Both Tine Baun and Jonas Rasmussen/Mads Conrad had an early exit from Denmark Open 2010. But in the mixed doubles category yet another couple joins Christinna Pedersen and Joachim Fischer, who went through erlier today. Former world champions Kamilla Juhl/Thomas Laybourn won their second match against Russian couple Vitallj Durkin and Nina Vislova. -We played well most of the time and then sometimes we where a bit down, but I am very glad than we were able to close the matches in the end, Thomas Laybourn says. And tomorrow will be a day where Thailand and Denmark face off in the mixed category, since both Christinna Pedersen/Joachim Fischer and Kamilla Juhl/Thomas Laybourn will be up against Thai couples. Juhl and Laybourn, meet Songphon Anugritayawon and Kunchala VoravichitchaikulI, who are seeded 8. And the Danes believe that that they can reach the semifinal -Normally we play good matches against the couple from Thailand. I look forward to the match and I think, if we can play our game, we have a good chance at winning, Kamilla Juhl says. Mateusiak/Zieba comfortably through The top seeeded Robert Mateusiak and Nadiezda Zieba also managed to deliver the victory that was expected of them. In their second round they beat Danish couple Mikkel Delbo Larsen and Mie Schjøtt-Kristensen with the convincing result 21-12 21-9. And yet another Danish couple were overpowered by the sixth-seeded Nathan Robertson and Jenny Wallwork. Mads Kolding and Julie Houmann fought their way through the qualification round and won their first match, but the English couple was too strong as they won 21-15 21-17.
