The tickets sale for Yonex Copenhagen Masters has already begun and the first players are now ready to be announced. It’s a great pleasure for Badminton Denmark to present Jan Ø. Jørgensen from Denmark and Tommy Sugiarto from Indonesia as the two first players.
When all the Christmas present has been opened you can allow yourself one more: The possibility of watching world class badminton in Denmark in the Falconer Hall on December 27 and 28. One of the competitors - world’s number three – Jan Ø. Jørgensen is already looking forward to the tournament with proud traditions.
- It’s a great thing for me to be part of. I’ve seen it on television since I was a little boy so of course I’m looking forward to this. You get a little bit of Christmas spirit and then it’s actually nice to get going again. I really like to play in the Falconer Hall because the audience is seated close to the court and that creates a great atmosphere, Jørgensen says.
The best men’s single of Denmark could meet Tommy Sugiarto and that is no easy task. The Indonesian player is number four at the world ranking list and he won bronze at Li-Ning BWF World Badminton Championships in Denmark in August.
