The Chinese Women’s Doubles won their final at Yonex Denmark Open in two games over Japanese Misaki Matsutomo and Ayaka Takahashi.
In Odense Sportscenter have the first medals been awarded. The former world’s number one Wang Xiaoli/Yu Yang were superior against their Japanese opponents, whom they defeated 21-14, 21-14.
It was the third time the two pairs crossed each other paths on the badminton court - all three matches have now been won by the Chinese Women’s Double.
The 3rd seeded Misaki Matsutomo and Ayaka Takahashi from Japan started the final great, but as the two Chinese players woke up after trailing 0-3 in the first game, there weren’t much to do against the more experienced Wang Xiaoli and Yu Yang.
The reigning champions from this years All England-tournament were happy to win the title in Denmark, where they enjoy to play:
