The Dane won his first round against German Marc Zwiebler in two games; 21-11, 21-16. Jan Ø. Jørgensen seemed fitted for playing regarding his recent problems with injuries.
He’s now facing Lin Dan, who won his first game in Denmark against Tien Chen Chou from Chinese Taipei with 22-20, 10-21, 21-18.
But the battle in the men's singles between Denmark and China has already begun, when reigning World Champion Chen Long defeated the young Dane Viktor Axelsen, who is actually from Odense, where Yonex Denmark Open is taking place.
