China has brought several World Class men's singles to Yonex Denmark Open, but surprisingly Wang Zhengming only got to play one match, after losing to Indonesian Dionysius Rumbaka.
Chinese Wang Zhengming, seeded number six, lost his first round match against Dionysius Rumbaka from Indonesia. The match went on for an hour and two minutes and the crowd experienced a thrilling three games match. Wang won the first by 21-17 and seemed in control also in the second game. However, Rumbaka found new inspiration and won the second game 21-18.
In the final game Rumbaka was a head for the most of the game, always leading with a couple of points. Nevertheless, Wang tied the game at 19-19 with a net shot that just touched the net. It was not enough for the Chinese, who lost 21-19 and was eliminated already in the first round.
Fifth seeded Indonesian Tommy Sugiarto also lost earlier on in the first round.
