New EFLM project on the the exchange of practical knowledge
and skills in Laboratory Medicine in Europe
Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to inform you that the EFLM WG on Congresses on Postgraduate Education (WG-CPE) is working on a new EFLM project: the exchange of practical knowledge and skills in Laboratory Medicine in Europe.
The aim of this project is to create and operate a network of medical laboratories willing to and able to offer practical training in various fields/aspects of Laboratory Medicine. In addition to creating a database of medical laboratories, that can offer the practice and experience, we intend to create a website linked to the EFLM website with the possibilities to search and apply for a range of areas of practice according to key words. Applications are welcome from all member associations of the EFLM.
To reach this aim, we kindly ask you to circulate this survey to your National Society Members so that we can assess your national training needs and know how many laboratories are available to host applicants in your country in order to create the above mentioned European database. Training opportunities can range from general specialist training to gaining skills necessary for specialised measurement methods or systems. Research methods and theoretical courses in laboratory medicine, as well as related topics, are also welcome.
