In 2014 A&H Medical will deliver equipment for new laboratory building in Copenhagen
Bygningsstyrelsen and Københavns Universit are erecting a new laboratory facility at Nørre Allé in Copenhagen. The facility is a part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and will contain both modern animal facilities, laboratories, meeting rooms and offices and it is expected that 100-120 scientists and 30-60 students will be regular visitors in the building.
For this project A&H Medical will deliver LAF cabins for reception, washing room and animal facility and in cooperation with Andersen & Heegaard will the cabins be connected to the new ventilation system. Furthermore A&H Medical will deliver Cage and rack washer, Bedding handling system and Clima cells. "We are really proud to present this project and we're looking forward to start building next year. At the moment we're still in clarification phase with the counsellor but in the beginning of 2014 we start with the plumbing and ventilation work and by the end of the year our equipment will be installed," says CEO Klaus Vognbjerg.
The Pharma Science Center is categorised as "low-energy-class 2015" which means an energy consumption of only 41 kWh/m2 per year. To achieve this low level of energy one of the main focuses is the optimal utilisation of the daylight. Furthermore the size of the windows and the solar cells is optimised. The new building is 5500 m2 and will be ready for occupancy in 2015. The plumbing and ventilation contract is worth 33 million DDK and A&H Medicals part is around 5 million DKK.
